  • DALF (Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française)
  • TCF (Test de Connaissance du Français)
  • TEF (Test d’Évaluation de Français)
  • DAEFLE (French teacher exam)

All examinations are conducted according to international standards and are recognized worldwide by universities, employers, immigration authorities, and government institutions.

DELF & DALF

The DELF and DALF are official diplomas awarded by the French Ministry of National Education.

Unlike language tests, these diplomas are valid for life and certify your level of French according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

The examinations assess four language skills:

✓ Listening
✓ Reading
✓ Writing
✓ Speaking

DELF and DALF certifications are widely accepted by:

  • Universities in France and French-speaking countries
  • Employers worldwide
  • Scholarship programmes
  • Professional organisations
  • Immigration authorities

TCF

The TCF (Test de Connaissance du Français) is the official French proficiency test administered by France Éducation International.

It is designed for candidates who need proof of their French level for:

  • Academic admissions
  • Professional applications
  • Immigration procedures
  • Personal assessment

Unlike DELF and DALF, the TCF is a language test rather than a diploma. It is accepted in Canadian immigration applications.

Results are valid for two years.

Several versions of the TCF are available depending on your objectives.

TEF

The TEF (Test d’Évaluation de Français) is an internationally recognized French proficiency test developed by the Paris Île-de-France Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The TEF is particularly popular among candidates applying for:

  • Canadian Permanent Residency
  • Canadian Citizenship
  • Immigration programmes
  • Professional opportunities
  • Academic admissions

Why choose the TEF?

✓ Fast results
✓ International recognition
✓ Accepted by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC)
✓ Available throughout the year

Results are valid for two years.

The Alliance Française de Bridgetown regularly organises TEF examination sessions and preparation opportunities for candidates wishing to achieve their target score.

DAEFLE

The DAEFLE (Diplôme d’Aptitude à l’Enseignement du Français Langue Étrangère) is one of the most recognized professional qualifications for teaching French as a Foreign Language (FLE).

Created by the Alliance Française de Paris and delivered in partnership with CNED, the DAEFLE provides future teachers with the pedagogical, linguistic, and methodological skills required to teach French effectively to non-native speakers.

Whether you are:

  • Looking to start a career in language teaching
  • Seeking a professional reconversion
  • Already teaching French and wishing to formalize your expertise
  • Preparing to work in an Alliance Française, language school, university, or international institution

the DAEFLE offers a solid and internationally recognized qualification.
